God is Still Amazing

Today I was driving down the street where my work office is and I saw a tree. Then I saw another tree and after that another one. I don’t know why, but this time my car ride down the road was different. I mean, I have gone down that road thousands of times but today was the day where I said to myself “wow look at that tree. It’s amazing.”

It made me think, God is amazing. Only God can make a tree, can heal someone of sickness, or form a baby. These are amazing things that God does and makes happen every day and yet I forget about how amazing He is.

Instead, we let the circumstances around us swallow us up, depression and defeat overwhelm us, and pleasures and entertainment get the best of us. We let the world around us distract us to the point that we take for granted what is amazing.

We don’t want to be that person but sometimes we are that person.

What about you?

What has been swallowing up your joy?

Taking away your peace?

Making you stay up at night?

Is it sickness, a broken relationship, an argument, a betrayal, abandonment, or rejection yet again from another job submission?

We won’t always understand the situations we have to go through or why they happen, but despite all these things God is still amazing.

He will take the pain in your life and turn it into joy.

He will take the years you thought were wasted and make them count.

He will restore to you that which you lost.

He will take what was meant for evil and turn it for good.

No one else in the world can do that, only God.

But you might be waiting.

You might be hurting.

You might be weary right now.

Maybe you have said to God, “I don’t want to live anymore”

That’s exactly where the enemy wants you. Tired, hurt, frustrated and angry. But don’t stop now.

Take a deep breath.

Inhale and exhale.

Say a prayer.

Have faith.

Read the Bible.

And wait on God.

And as you wait for God to make things right in your life, look around and take it in all the things that are right happening in your life.

Food on the table.

Clothes on your back.

A house to live in.

A job.

Family and friends

Good health.

Money in the bank.

A good church family.

So in the meantime go to work. Study your Bible. Eat your food.

Spend time with your kids. Finish that assignment. Have the ice cream.

You see life might not be where you thought it should be or where you want it to be but one certain thing is “God is still amazing." He is in control and he will accomplish his will and purpose in your life.
